Talent Experience Specialist, Benefits

 

The Talent Experience Specialist, Benefits is responsible for the day-to-day administration of group benefits plans, including but not limited to various health & welfare plans as well as retirement plans.

Responsibilities

Plan Administration

  • Coordinates daily benefit processing which includes, but is not limited to, enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, claims, COBRA, etc.
  • Manage the FMLA/Leave of absence process
  • Manage the Worker’s Compensation claims process
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local statutory requirements and programs
  • Manage the monthly billing process, investigate and correct discrepancies with third parties and carrier representatives
  • Audit file feeds between payroll provider and insurance carriers
  • Partner with third party auditors for completion of 5500 and other filings  
  • Work with third party administrators and brokers as necessary
  • Partner with insurance carriers, third party administrators, brokers and Talent Experience team to plan and execute the annual enrollment process
  • Work with third parties to investigate new benefit programs, improve existing programs, and monitor administration
  • Create and analyze reports
  • Maintain benefit files

 

Talent Support/Experience

  • Provide customer service support to Associates through researching and responding to inquiries regarding benefits plans, claims, etc.
  • Liaison between Associates and third parties
  • Arrange and host outreach/information sessions
  • Develop and manage communication tools to enhance Associate understanding of the company’s benefits package
  • Plan and participate in benefits orientation and informational sessions
  • Anticipate Associate questions and needs and proactively create resources/avenues for continued education and support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of direct benefits administration experience, including leading and/or participating in the annual open enrollment period 
  • High level verbal, written, and non-traditional methods (e.g. social media) of communication including experience presenting to large numbers of Associates via methods including face-to-face sessions, webinars and social media broadcasts
  • Strong analytical skills and proven knowledge of benefit plan administration
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and make sound judgment calls, often within limited timeframes
  • Broad understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations as related to benefits administration (e.g. ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Worker’s Compensation, etc.)
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to travel as necessary, although limited
  • Computer knowledge including working in Microsoft office on a Mac platform (experience in Keynote preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of third party payroll platforms, ADP preferred
  • Must be a solid team player, with the ability to adapt and thrive in challenging situations
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, the advertising/marketing services industry preferred but not required
