Busienss Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for seeking out new business opportunities for CreativeDrive by interacting with external sources by attending networking events, cold-calling and using non-traditional methods in order to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.


  • Generate leads by cold-calling, attending networking events and using creative non-traditional methods such as social media outreach to acquire new business for marketing content services including, but not limited to: photography, video, design, production, copywriting, transcreation and social media.
  • Prospect/Identify target clients and key contacts
  • Follow up with sales leads in order to establish sales meeting with prospects in the region
  • Build rapport through a consultative based sales approach to understand the client and how to best serve them
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Meet pre-established sales targets and goals
  • Work with sales leaders within CreativeDrive to develop “talk-tracks” for Identifying needs/problems, CD Solutions, and Benefits
  • Create and participate in client presentations
  • Attend tradeshows, participating in the overall management and set-up – including accommodations, scheduling logistics, attendee details, booth setup/break down, etc.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to articulate and develop marketing/sales support tools
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Partner with administrator and assist with the maintenance and integrity of data/reporting


  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related field, or equivalent years of work experience
  • 3+ years of Business Development experience including cold-calling, face-to-face networking and business development opportunities within the brand/marketing communications industry
  • Broad understanding of the marketing communications space – beyond photo/video production. 
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end needs of clients from strategy through design and production to metrics/analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, attract and close business
  • Experience with platform or other CRM tools
  • Knowledge of Keynote and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Ability to travel for all sales related activities such as: networking events, presentations, client meetings and local industry events.
  • High level verbal, written, and non-traditional methods (e.g. twitter) of communication
  • Must be a solid team player, with the ability to adapt and thrive in challenging situations
