Freelance Social Media Copywriter


Responsible for developing creative written content for various social media channels. Ability to delve into a brand, capture their unique tone and voice and create enticing, concise and engaging stories. Contributes and executes to the social media strategy.


  • Foster brand awareness and growth for two unique brands by crafting clear, compelling and unique posts that will trigger conversation and engagement through Facebook and Instagram. Other social platforms may follow at a latter date.
  • Create written, error-free content consistently that aligns with the brand voice, social media insight, and strong understanding of content optimization
  • Responsible for proofing and editing copy content
  • Executes and supports social media strategies that are unique to each channel and its audience
  • Works closely with the Creative team and supports the development of the social and campaign calendars on a quarterly basis
  • Have a deep understanding of competitive set and industry, follow trends and make recommendations based on evolving best practices
  • Experience in writing scripts for storyboards is a plus
  • Complete other special projects and assignments as requested


  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience writing strong digital copy in a campaign development role, retail agency and print experience is a plus
  • Exceptional written communication and copy skills with experience presenting to all levels of Clients and other stakeholders
  • Strong background and knowledge of copy development in multiple aspects of digital media including social media (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram), web banner campaigns, email marketing, online advertising and web site content
  • Knowledgeable on user-centered methods, techniques and SEO
  • Proficient: Microsoft Office and Keynote
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented skills
  • Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a passionate attitude 
  • Must have an understanding of the female Hispanic market preferably in the beauty sector
  • Must speak and understand the local South Florida lingo, culture and flavor
